Uganda: the great adventure

Your journey, day by day

1. Day01

   Ziwa’s rhinos

   Arrival in Entebbe, a few hours to rest and departure north. In the afternoon, guided walk in Ziwa Reserve to observe rhinos up close. About 250 km, 6 hours.

2. Day02

   Budongo and the top of Murchison Falls

   Chimpanzee trek in Budongo Forest, a visit to the Top of the Falls and a first game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. About 100 km, 2.5 hours plus activities.

3. Day03

   Northern Murchison Falls

   A full day in the park: morning game drive to the Nile delta in Lake Albert and, after lunch, a boat trip up the Nile to the foot of the falls.

4. Day04

   Towards the Toro Kingdom

   Long transfer south through the Albertine Rift Valley, Lake Albert, Hoima, villages, countryside and tea plantations to the Fort Portal region. About 350 km, 7 hours.

5. Day05

   Rubalika Farm and Queen Elizabeth

   Farm experience dedicated to vanilla, tea, coffee and banana beer, with a local lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to Queen Elizabeth and a first game drive. About 100 km, 2.5 hours.

6. Day06

   Kyambura chimpanzees and the Kazinga Channel

   Second chimpanzee trek in Kyambura Gorge or Kalinzu Forest. In the afternoon, a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel and another game drive in Queen Elizabeth.

7. Day07

   Ishasha and the tree-climbing lions

   Full safari day in southern Queen Elizabeth, searching for tree-climbing lions, leopards, hyenas, elephants and antelopes. About 100 km, 3/4 hours.

8. Day08

   From Ishasha to Bwindi Forest

   Transfer from the savanna through the Ankole hills and Kigezi mountains to the assigned area of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. About 150 km, 4 hours.

9. Day09

   Mountain gorillas and Kisoro

   After the UWA ranger briefing, trek through the Impenetrable Forest to meet the mountain gorillas. Afterwards, transfer towards Kisoro. About 40 km, 1.5 hours.

10. Day10

    Golden monkeys and Lake Bunyonyi

    Trek in Mgahinga National Park in search of rare golden monkeys. In the afternoon, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. About 80 km, 3 hours.

11. Day11

    From Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo National Park

    Transfer through Kabale and the Ankole region to Lake Mburo. In the afternoon, a game drive or night safari among zebras, giraffes, antelopes and big cats. About 240 km, 4 hours.

12. Day12

    Final safari and return to Entebbe

    Final game drive or walking safari at Lake Mburo. Return to Entebbe with a stop at the Equator, day room and night transfer to the airport. About 260 km, 6/7 hours.
